Self Tech Out, LLC (STO) is a privately held company that was founded by Marc Whinnem. Marc began STO after a 25+ year career in a corporate/venture capital environment. STO focuses on running an IT services business that reflects Marc’s values while providing value-based Information Technology (IT) products and services to businesses with similar values who are looking to create a mutual partnership of success.

Our overall goal is to work in a highly collaborative way with your existing team to improve and grow IT support services that will help your business succeed!

Self Tech Out’s approach is intentionally unique in the IT business market with its highly collaborative co-management model that assists existing IT departments, MSP’s or Independent Contractors to develop and implement strategies and support services focused on driving operational efficiency while better serving their customers. This co-managed approach fits best with small to mid-sized internal IT departments or small/medium businesses that are experiencing growth where their existing IT support is somewhat effective but challenged to keep up with the company’s needs.

The co-managed model of Self Tech Out allows businesses to add expertise in a way that is highly collaborative with their existing internal management and staff. We first focus in the more repetative, challenging, or mundane areas of business such as level 1-2 remote support (first call), workstation and network device management, onboarding/offboarding, computer imaging, network monitoring and maintenance, and backups. This approach relieves pressure on existing staff giving them opportunities to focus on pro-active tasks as well as opportunities to grow while the organization is not burdened with bearing the cost of hiring a full staff of IT professionals to meet the business needs.
